ASymbolic Cross
It seems a long time ago that the conference planning committee discussed ideasforalogofortheconferenceandconsideredvariousdesigns.Thisincluded discussion about the symbol of the cross. It is a most profound symbol that speaksoftheheartofourfaithinJesusChrist.Butwealsonotedthatthesymbol hasbeenmisusedandexperiencedasasymbolofdomination.Thebringingof theolivewoodcross,overtheseafromJerusalem,withthereminderfromthose whopresenteditoftherealitiesofthatcontextIfoundverymoving.Sotoowas
