Appeals made for prayers to aid world assembly

 

Canadian Press. Religious groups that belong to the World Council of Churches are being urged to pray together Sunday in advance of the ninth assembly of the WCC.

The call comes from Rev. Samuel Kobia, general secretary of the WCC. Delegates to the assembly will meet in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from Feb. 14 to 23. (...)
