Diverse Group Heads to WCC Assembly

 


The World Council of Churches 9th Assembly promises to provide enough options for the diverse interests of the RCA members in attendance.

The assembly, which begins its meetings today, February 14, and runs through February 23, is being held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, under the theme of "God, in your grace, transform our world."

As the supreme legislative body of the WCC, the assembly meets approximately every seven years. The formal purpose of the assembly is to review programs and determine the overall policies of the WCC. (...)
