In Brazil, Global Music and Voices Join In One Voice
For Keila, Clara, Silvia and Elestra, four lay women from the Methodist Central Church in Porto Alegre, Brazil, singing in the ecumenical World Council of Churches' Assembly Choir has been the experience of a life-time.
The World Council of Churches' Ninth Assembly is happening this week and comprises Christians from around the globe. Though two of these women sing in a local church choir, the experience of singing at a large, ecumenical gathering with other voices from around the world, is unsurpassable. (...)
